The Character of Christ

I once read a book called, God's Armor Bearer by Terry Nance, which provides an excellent template for developing the character of Christ. The Devil is a liar, and he tries trap your spirit by shedding darkness on all of God's wisom. Let God shine through your heart, and become the light of this world...

Steps to Developing the Character of Christ
Step 1: Open your Bible
A. The Bible is the source for God's wisdom
B. Read it Daily
Step 2: Free yourself from pride
Evidences of pride are:
A. An independent spirit (refusal to seek God's help, or the help of others)
B. A failure to admit mistakes
C. A lack of a teachable spirit
D. A rebellious attitude toward those in authority
E. A proud countenance
F. Self-centered conversation
G. Intolerance towards the mistakes of others
H. A bossy attitude
Step 3: Free yourself from anger
Evidences of anger are:
A. Temper tantrums (at any age)
B. An angry reaction to supposed injustice
C. Expressed frustration over unchangeable circumstances
D. Grumbling, murmuring and complaining
E. Extreme sensitivity and touchiness
Step 4: Free yourself from immorality
Evidences of an impure spirit are:
A. Sensual conversation
B. The reading of impure materials
C. An impure attitude and improper actions toward members of the opposite sex
D. A desire to listen to sensual music
E. Sensual dress or appearance
F. Carnal curiousity
Step 5: Free yourself from bitterness
Evidences of a bitter spirit are:
A. Sarcastic and critical talk
B. An inability to trust people
C. Frequent illness
D. Self-pity
E. A sad countenance
